How to join our FUND
We believe that diversity of thought, backgrounds and experiences is the foundation of a successful team. As such, our fund is open to all majors. We look for students who are curious, hardworking and willing to venture into topics that are brand new. To ensure we recruit members who align with our values and culture, interested students must go through an application process where they train and engage with us consistently.
Since venture capital is not a widely taught concept, one of the main tenets of our fund is the training we host every semester. Whether you're a VC Wiz or an absolute beginner, we got your back! We encourage all students to register for the training and learn with us over the course of program. Come hang out with students from different backgrounds, build new connections and learn from experts in the field- we promise to support you every step of the way!
How our Training Program works
Register and Attend
Register for our program and learn with us as we cover the fundamentals of venture capital every week. We host two sessions a week and a typical program runs for 12-14 weeks. Our cohort leaders make sure to continuously update and improve our curriculum as we cover concepts from books like "Venture Capital" by Patrick Vernon, "Get Backed", and more along with workshops from actual VCs.
Learn from Industry Experts
Not only do we meet weekly with Joe Maruschak, a Managing Partner at Aventurine Capital and our in-house VC Mentor as part of our training, but our Fund also hosts several workshops and events with industry experts open to all students outside of the training. Come see us and network hard!
Final Evaluation
The students who complete the training program and modules must deliver a final pitch and term sheet to exhibit the skills they have learned over the semester. They are evaluated on technical and soft skills, along with their engagement with other trainees over the semester. Within two weeks, the Executive Board announces the new recruits.
